Scale weights
Estimate only — always re-weigh on a certified scale after sliding.

Under Configuration, choose Dry van, Reefer or Flatbed. Length, kingpin, empty weight and slider range fill in with typical values.
Open Tractor and set wheelbase, fifth-wheel position and the empty steer and drive weights. Best source: a bobtail scale ticket with fuel noted. Then tap Manage under Truck setup to save it so you only enter it once.
Drag Tractor fuel level. Fuel sits mostly over the steer, so the panel shows how much the steer changes from full to empty.
In Trailer, move the Tandem slide to where your tandems are now. Adjust empty trailer weight if you know it.
In Cargo placement, pick a preset or set a weight and size and tap Add. Drag pallets along the deck; tap one to edit its weight, duplicate or remove it.
The cards at the top show steer, drives, trailer, gross and kingpin. Warnings below tell you what is over and how to fix it.
Slide advisor tests every tandem hole and fifth-wheel notch. Tap Apply this setting to use its answer.
After weighing, enter the readings in Scale ticket check and tap Calibrate so the next plan matches your rig.
Keyboard: select a pallet, then ← → moves 3 in (Shift = 1 ft), ↑ ↓ switches lane, Delete removes. Just need a slide answer from a scale ticket? Use the tab.
Side view to scale. Wheel rings use the same colors as the cards; the blue arrow is the kingpin, the gold marker is the cargo center of gravity.
Nose of the trailer is on the left. Drag pallets to move them; the cards update as you drag. Blue line = kingpin, shaded band = trailer tandems.
Drag pallets along the deck. Select one to edit — arrow keys nudge 3 in (Shift = 1 ft), Delete removes.
Federal limit on how much weight a group of axles can carry based on how far apart they are. Any FAIL row needs fixing.
W = 500 ( LN ⁄ (N−1) + 12N + 36 )
L = distance between outer axles of the group, rounded to the nearest foot. Tandems spaced 40–96 in carry 34,000 lb; two consecutive tandems 36 ft+ apart may carry 68,000 lb.
How the trailer's weight splits between the kingpin (carried by the tractor) and the trailer tandems.
Finds the tandem hole and fifth-wheel notch that keep every axle legal with the most even load.
Enter readings from a certified scale to compare against the model, then calibrate tare weights.
